Counselling / Psychotherapy Fees

Anna is currently inactive as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

Individual and Couples Therapy
45 minute session: $75
1 hr session: $100
1.5 hr session: $140
Plus GST

Introductory Therapy Series
6 1hr sessions introductory series (prepaid at first session): $510.00 ($85 each session).
Available one-time only. Plus GST

Group Therapy
$40/session for 2.5 hour group therapy session
plus GST

These rates are consistent with the fee schedule for Registered Clinical Counsellors set by the BCACC. Fees are to be paid in full by cash or check at each appointment unless alternate third party payment arrangements have been made in advance. Please inquire if you need to pay by VISA.

Benefits Coverage
Your Extended Health Benefits package may cover some or all of the cost of counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Please consult with your workplace Human Resources Department or private insurance company to confirm coverage. Receipts not submitted for insurance reimbursement may be tax deductible as medical expenses. Check with your accountant to confirm.

Once an appointment is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation (preferably 48 hrs).  It is important to note that most insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for cancelled sessions. 

Frequency and Duration of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy typically involves regularly scheduled one hour long sessions, at least once a week. Longer or more frequent sessions may be helpful to you depending on the nature of your work in psychotherapy.

A normal assessment period length spans four sessions. After that time, I will have a better sense of duration of treatment and we can discuss treatment options. Duration of therapy will vary depending on the nature of your challenges and goals.

In some cases, I see clients bi-weekly and, with those transitioning out of therapy, the space between sessions may extend to monthly. I find that clients know when they no longer need therapy. Follow-up sessions at four or six-month intervals are then welcome to track, celebrate and sustain progress.

Receipts
You will be provided with either weekly or monthly receipts of payment, depending on your preference.

Classes and Workshops

Fees for Anna’s adult creative movement classes normally range between $15 and $17/class if signing up for the series. The usual drop-in fee is $20.  Please call Anna for particular class fees. See the calendar for workshop and class dates and times.

Trainings and educational workshops vary in time duration and thus cost. Please call Anna for more information at 604 781 6040.

Pre-registration is necessary for all class series and workshops, with deposit cheques or full amounts payable to Anna Kemble and sent to Anna c/o Alchemy Centre, #3 – 431 Mountain Hwy, North Vancouver BC, V7J 2L1. Please be sure to call or email Anna to register before mailing cheques.
